Sighthound Basic Raincoat provides good coverage not only over the length of the body but also over the neck and up over the ears if required. It is soft and comfortable and fastens securely around the waist with a Velcro strap.
We love the attention to detail, including the reflective patch, toggle to fit the snood neck as required and a collar and lead hole which is large enough to accommodate a martingale or wide collar clip.
The Basic Raincoat has an outer layer made from Soft Shell® membrane which is windproof, waterproof and breathable at the same time. The underneath layer is made from a thin layer of soft fleece. On colder days we recommend pairing up with a Vest.
Please measure carefully according to the photo sizing chart (3rd image above). The Basic Raincoat is measured in cms.
Machine washable at max 30 °C. Do not use fabric softener. Keep hook and loop fastener closed.

The top layer of the fabric is protected by a standard waterproofing agent which needs to be renewed after several washes. To renew the waterproofing, DG Dog Gear recommend treating with an agent using nanotechnology, available at shops selling equipment for outdoor activities.

Quite hard finding coats to suit Podenco, who are sighthounds, but not quite the same shape as whippets or greyhounds. I bought this for the older dog, who doesnt really like wearing thick coats, but also doesnt like getting wet, so this was the perfect option and it fits nicely. So I bought another one for the younger dog who is a taller slimmer Podenco. Well worth the money as excellent quality.
Love the soft shell and the simplicity of this coat. It's easy to put on and take off so ideal to quickly put on when out for toilet in the garden. The coat can be used all year round with a jumper underneath during the colder months. The long neck and hole for the lead to go through will keep the dog warm and dry. We love the colour too ❤️
