With whippet’s deep chests, narrow waists, arched backs and long, elegant necks, their unique shape can make finding the right coat a challenge. Many standard dog coats simply don’t sit well on a Whippet’s frame, either gaping around the middle, slipping as they move or protruding past the curve of the spine. Each Whippet coat at Pointy Faces has been carefully chosen for its thoughtful design and sighthound-specific cut. With soft lining, contoured shaping, and adjustable straps, our coats fit close to the body for comfort while allowing complete freedom of movement, perfect for zoomies or an on lead walk.

Every Whippet coat we stock is hand-selected for quality and comfort, and tested by real sighthounds, including our own Olive, our resident chief product tester. We only choose pieces that stand up to muddy walks, windy beaches, and daily wear, while keeping that Whippet silhouette intact. Caring for your Whippet coat
After a wet walk hang your whippet’s coat in a well-ventilated area to dry. Once dried, mud or dirty can be lightly brushed off using a fabric cloth. Our coats are machine washable at max 30 °C. After washing, air dry. The waterproofing treatment on the top layer of the coat will need renewing after a number of machine washes. To renew the waterproofness, we recommend using a waterproofing fabric spray available at shops selling equipment for outdoor activities. Apply as instructed to a clean, dry coat.
