DG Dog Gear Basic Plus Jacket is a great everyday winter wearer. We love the fantastic quality, cut and style of this soft and comfortable coat.
The wrap around chest panel keeps the chest cosy and dry. The coat fastens securely at the waist with a small concealed Velcro strap to protect the jacket against turning with the main adjustable fastening secured by a YKK® clip buckle. The coat has a reflective patch at the front and a small reflective patch either side of the back legs.
- Soft Shell® material with TPU membrane – wind and water-resistant (water column 10,000 mm), breathability (12,000 g/m²/24h). Weight 340 g/m².
- Inner polar fleece with anti-pilling treatment, weight 220 g/m².
We recommend this jacket in autumn and winter seasons. On very cold days it can be paired up with an Vest.

Machine washable at max 30 °C. Do not use fabric softener.

Let me say first that I don't have a sight hound. I have 2 Hungarian Vizsla's (Pointers) never found the right coats for them. They have a deep chest similar to the Greyhound so thought I would give these coats a try. Meg could not have been more helpful. I tried a couple of different coats on Meg's advice & ended up with this lovely coat for Lotti. The beautiful basic plus coat I sent back as a little tight round the neck, a beautiful coat for any greyhound.
This coat is really great quality. I wanted a really warm coat that would keep my whippet cosy on cold winter walks. The coat is perfect, lovely thick fleece on the inside and waterproof outside (not that he will want to go out in the rain…). He’s a tall whippet and M3 is a perfect fit. Would definitely recommend!
I have had whippets for over 25 years all shapes and sizes and have got to say these are the best fitting coats I have every bought and I have bought a lot of coats I would total recommended them
