Sighthound Basic Raincoat provides good coverage not only over the length of the body but also over the neck and up over the ears if required. It is soft and comfortable and fastens securely around the waist with a Velcro strap.
We love the attention to detail, including the reflective patch and strip, toggle to fit the snood neck as required and a collar and lead hole which is large enough to accommodate a martingale or wide collar clip.
The Basic Raincoat has an outer layer made from Soft Shell® membrane which is windproof, waterproof and breathable at the same time. The underneath layer is made from a thin layer of soft fleece. On colder days we recommend pairing up with a Vest.
Please measure carefully according to the photo sizing chart (3rd image above). The Basic Raincoat is measured in cms.
Machine washable at max 30 °C. Do not use fabric softener. Keep hook and loop fastener closed.

The top layer of the fabric is protected by a standard waterproofing agent which needs to be renewed after several washes. To renew the waterproofing, DG Dog Gear recommend treating with an agent using nanotechnology, available at shops selling equipment for outdoor activities.

I've been looking for a waterproof coat for my greyhound for some time and settled on this one. I measured my dog but still wasn't sure which size to buy so I emailed Meg and received a really prompt reply. It was mid-afternoon before I put my order in and I was delighted to see that it was sent out the same day! My hound has only worn it a couple of times so far but he seems very comfortable in it and it's definitely keeping him dry. Thank you Meg and Olive!
It seemed a bit long in the neck at first and our dog was not happy! We put it on several times to soften and get her used to it. Got used for the first time on the wettest weekend of the year. Dog now very happy, super comfy and dry. Would definitely buy another but perhaps in a less in your face colour, the apricot is very bright.
I have five Galgo’s and they all have one of these rain jackets, they are quality, and look great on my dog’s, love the colour’s available too!
Latest is the Apricot which look’s lovely on a black dog!
This is by far the best coat I've ever had. I'm getting used to the hood but it will certainly keep me dry, warm and devastatingly handsome.
