These boots have a hardwearing yet flexible sole that is shaped for your sighthound's unique 'hare' foot.

The V4 has undergone a brand new construction method, giving a neater, stronger boot. The new V4 features a taller toe-box and protective toe capping, giving a little more room for a sighthound's high knuckles. They feature a robust, full length YKK zipper to easily slip your sighthound’s feet into the boot, and a stronger and more robust velcro strap designed to sit below the dew claw and hold the boot firmly in place. They are fully lined with a breathable mesh outer shell, so can be worn for extended hours without concern for sweating feet.

They feature a narrower, reinforced heel and side supports to help stop the annoying 'boot twist'.

They're great for grip on all surfaces; wet parks, hot pavements even ice and surface snow.  While they're not waterproof they do dry out very quickly with some care and maintenance, just like your own sneakers.

All Hunnyboots V4 now come with padded Inserts. Specifically engineered for Greyhounds grappling with sensitive feet or corns, these 4mm thick inserts prioritise straightforward comfort and protection. Leave behind the challenges of age and corn-related discomfort, and equip your pup with our Padded Inserts for a genuinely therapeutic experience that prioritises their comfort on every adventure.

Corns or toe injuries? Your greyhound will have a new lease on life wearing Hunnyboots.

Hunnyboots are suitable for sighthounds including Greyhounds, Salukis, Lurchers, Whippets and Italian Greyhounds.

  • Please don't guess!

The V4 Hunnyboot is a low tolerance fit, so your sighthound's feet need to be measured at very specific points. If you've previously had the V3, then you can use the same size in V4.

    Size W – Weeny

This size is for Italian Greyhounds and a number of other small breeds with slender feet such as Boston Terriers.

    Size S – Small

This size is for small Whippets.

    Size M – Medium

This size is for larger Whippets, Lurchers and smaller Greyhounds.

    Size L – Large

This size is for average sized Greyhounds.

    Size XL – eXtra Large

This one's for the big boys and girls and as big as we go.

You’ve measured the front and back feet and they're different sizes? No stress, thats quite normal for a sighthound - add the two different sized pairs you need to your order.

Great looking boots, but not for Willy

the boots were delivered very promptly, and when they arrived we were pleased with how they looked and grateful for the highly instructive video on how to put them on etc.

for the first few days all was well, Willy was beginning to get use to them in the garden and house, so we ventured outdoors. alas within two days they started to rub and cut into his dew claws. and so sadly we are having to resort to a tendonoctomy for his corn.

due to the cost I would sadly not recommend them.

    Hi Sharon,

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

I’m sorry to hear that the strap position is rubbing against Willy’s dew claw. When designing the boot, Hunnyboots measured over 200 greyhounds to determine the ideal strap height—one that typically sits comfortably between the natural widening of the leg and the base of the dew claw. While this data-driven design works well for most greyhounds, not every dog falls within the standard measurement curve. Some have dew claws that sit lower or are more prominent, which can affect how the strap interacts with the leg.

Hunnyboots does have some recommendations for managing this issue. First, make sure the dew claw is trimmed and filed regularly, keeping it smooth and rounded—clippers alone can sometimes leave a sharper edge. They also recommend a “Z fold” technique using socks under and over the dew claw to add cushioning and protection.

You can see a demonstration of this technique in the following video:

I hope this helps! Please don’t hesitate to reach out and let me know how things go.

    Warm regards,

    Meg
